What's in my Make-Up Bag with Farfetch

You've seen similar "What's in my make-up bag" posts floating around the beauty corners of the internet more than once, usually following the tagging pattern of "I now tag X,Y and Z to do the same". I had thought of writing one before but somehow I always chose something else to blabber about in the end. Until now, and that's because of Farfetch.

For my friends out there not familiar with Farfetch, it is a global community of over 400 visionary fashion boutiques offering an inspirational shopping experience to fashion-forward consumers. The boutiques have been carefully selected for their forward thinking attitude, unique approach to merchandising and diversity of brands. They are located everywhere, from Paris, New York, Milan and Bucharest to Seattle, but are united under Farfetch's e-commerce website. And where there's luxury fashion, there should be beauty, right? I'm glad to be the bringer of exciting news, as Farfetch has just launched a brand new beauty section and to make things even better, they've done that in partnership with Space NK Apothecary! I'm super stoked over this!

So what do I carry in my make-up bag?

I'll start straight away with the products that are actually make-up and skip the skincare altogether - that's another bag for another time!

Starting with primer, after trying many ones I realise I always come back to my Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. Being oil free, it does the job of keeping everything in place without making my skin want to run for the hills after a couple of hours.

My current foundation love has to be Chanel Perfection Lumiere in the shade 10 (Beige). It's a very long lasting matte that turns slightly dewy on my oily skin, plus it adds luminosity.

The concealer I reach for the most (especially after a night out) is the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage one in the shade 2. It stays put, it doesn't crease and is the perfect shade to cover the "blues" around my eyes.

I have two setting powders I like, but I'll go compact here as I use it the most. Bourjois Healthy Balance in the shade 52 Vanille is one of the best highstreet powders out there in my opinion, has a mirror on the lid, is finely milled and oh so compact you can carry everywhere.

The bronzer and highlighter Face Contour Kit from Sleek MakeUp in the shade Light is my next step. Bronzer is super pigmented (a little goes a very long way), easily blendable and not on the orange side, highlighter adds a shimmery glow without the unwanted glitter and the packaging is small and easily portable.

I admit it, I could have opted for the Sleek trio palette that carries a blush too but that would mean not including my favourite blush of 2015. Max Factor's Créme Puff Blush in the shade 15 Seductive Pink is the perfect match to my cheeks when they're naturally flushed! Super soft, easy to apply, I fell so hard for it and its formula I went and got some other shades too!

Latest product choice for my brows is Benefit's Gimme Brow in Light Medium. It's a tad lighter than what I should be using according to the make up artist by their counter but then again I don't like my brows very dark.

There is one eye palette I absolutely adore and not only because it's a beautiful combination of neutrals. Urban Decay's original Naked palette carries the two matte eyeshadows I would kill for, Naked and Buck, my everyday go to shades. I'll put them on before work and they will still be there late in the evening when I return home, that's how amazing they are.

Once every now and then I will need to turn a morning face into an evening one (queue the drinks with mates here), which can only happen with the addition of a feline flick on my eyes. For that I turn to a trusted all friend, L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim in Black Intense, and its precise tip that caters for both Dainty Chic to Drama Queens.

Of course I smoke up my eyes a bit more, so out comes Rimmel's ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Pencil in Taupe to be added to my waterline.

Not my favourite mascara of all times but one that's surprisingly very good, no matter its odd wand shape, is L'Oreal's False Lash Flutter mascara. It was a bit awkward to learn how to apply but once nailed my lashes looked long, defined and extra fluttery.

What's left now is lips, and they tend to differ during the day. L'Oreal Color Riche Exclusive Nudes in the shade Barely Greige by JLo is the colour of my lips but better, exactly what I need for a fresh morning face. When the night arrives though there is only one in my life, Arthur by Chanel Rouge Coco, applied over Lord & Berry Lipstick Crayon in the shade Kiss.

I carry a lot, don't I? And yet I wish for more, so after visiting Farfetch's Beauty section I compiled my own personal Wish List

The lovely Radical Skincare Eye Revive Creme that features in the centre is my number one most desired item on the list. Sunday Riley's LUNA Sleeping Night Oil is competing for second place against Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, leaving Becca's Shimmery Skin Perfector in Opal and Kevyn Aucoin's Sculpting Powder last. If my prayers are heard, then I may get at least a couple of them soon.

Say what, why don't you visit Farfetch's website, browse through its Beauty section and make a wishlist to share with me? It's simple, just click here!

Until next time,

Dora
