My Little Box December 2015

Christmas holidays are all about magic. The decorations, the gifts, the magic in the air that makes us all feel like children again. It's also the time of the year we want to spend time with the people we cherish the most, party, drink and get jolly. This special magic is what My Little Box is celebrating this month.

And celebrate it does, in its own wonderful, glamorous way, with beautiful gifts that help enhance that magical feeling of Christmas.

The holidays don't necessarily have to be alcohol fueled when you can have a really potent tea brew to enjoy. You could replace the drinks with a hot cuppa, or if that's not what you have planned, then why not wake up to the smell of tea the morning after the festivities? I'm a coffee addict myself - which you already know if you've been around long enough - but once every now and again I do indulge myself, as long as we're talking of an interesting brew. Anastasia from Kusmi Tea is a Russian blend of China and Ceylon teas with scents of bergamot, lemon, lime and orange blossom - meaning an interesting brew. Plus it doesn't come in a tea bag, it's actually loose in the tin, which is even better.

Tea is also perfect for those late evenings after you've come back from work - yes, some of us do have to go to work everyday - and you need a little bit of something to keep you warm inside. As for the outside, My Little Magic Box has you covered as well. The most beautiful fold back finger tip gloves I've seen, in a rich royal dark blue with gold threading, came along within the box and have made my life so much easier ever since. Needless to say I carry them with me everywhere I go, such lifesavers they are.

But hey, that same colour combination has spilled over to the beauty products as well, which came in a dark blue and gold make-up bag too rather than the pouch they usually come into. A perfume bottle, a nail polish and a lipstick, all drawn in gold line-art, are gracing the front of the bag. No matter though how beautiful the bag looks, it was the contents that brought a smile to my face.

  • NARS Powder Blush in "Orgasm": Yes, I got another one. I now officially have three, which means a friend will benefit pretty soon. Let me see, where do I start? This little NARS miracle lasts on me for hours, such is its longevity, especially when most blushers tend to run off my face after my oils rise. The colour is superb, not only do I get rosy cheeks but I also get a bit of highlight as well. Added bonus - it's so pigmented, a little goes a very loooong way.

  • Rituals Magic Touch Cherry Blossom & Rice Milk Body Cream: It's always a treat when I receive something from Rituals. I haven't stumbled into anything that smelled uninteresting, boring or plain bad which I believe says a lot. But it's not just a great smell that will keep me engaged to a product, no, it's the performance as well. This body cream has a lot to offer, from proper moisturizarion to a silky smooth finish. My legs drink it up, especially after shaving. Yes, definitely give this a go when you get a chance!

  • My Little Beauty Nail Polish Duo in "Sparkling Night": A golden toned glitter polish called "Sparkling" accompanied by a stunning, shimmering dark blue polish called "Night" are My Little Beauty's offers for the month of December. You won't see me going overboard for a glitter, any glitter, but I have to tip my hat to My Little Box's choice of "Night" colour. I mean WOW. Time to sparkle these holidays, right?

Besides me voicing my love for My Little Box for the umpteenth time, I just wanted to mention that this is the last of the beauty subscription box posts for the year of 2015. In 2016 there will be some changes around, some departures, maybe an arrival as well, but don't you worry, My Little Box is staying put!

Until next time,

Dora
